Three words showed up in my inbox this week

Hey β€” Thursday note.

Three people typed one word into a comment box this week: RESTART.

Not "interested." Not "tell me more." Not "send me the link." Just the word. The same word, three times, from three different people I'd never met.

I don't know what to do with that yet. But I know it means something.

Three years ago I sent my first "free consultation" offer to a list of about 40 people. Zero replied. I sat with my laptop open for two hours, refreshed my inbox four times, and decided I wasn't cut out for this.

Last Monday, three people used one word to tell me they were ready to start over. The list was 97. The response was 3.

Both of those moments taught me the same lesson: the size of the response is not the point. The point is that someone, somewhere, used the word you gave them to say yes to themselves.

That changes how I measure wins. It also changes what I write on Thursdays.

What's on my desk this week: the Founding Sprint is open. Two spots. $97 each. The Stripe link is live.

What I've learned from the three RESTART replies already: the people who use the word aren't asking for a curriculum. They're asking for permission to pick one thing and finish it.

That's the work the sprint was designed for. Two 60-minute calls. One direction. One offer. One 30-day plan you can actually execute. Not a course. Not a community. A focused decision.

If you're one of the three who already typed RESTART β€” your details are coming today. If you're one of the 94 who read it and felt the pull but didn't act β€” the door is still open until both spots fill.

Here's what I've been watching this week.

The AI Secrets Challenge wrapped last Friday in a room full of people learning to replace the marketing work they'd been carrying alone. Most of them weren't beginners. Most had already built something.

The lesson I keep coming back to: the people who are ready to level up aren't the ones who "need more information." They're the ones who've realized they're the most expensive hire in their own business β€” and they're done with that math.

That's the second-act professional. That's who Rekindle Press is for. That's who the Founding Sprint is for.

If you've been sitting with a second-income idea for the last 6, 12, or 24 months β€” and you already know which one matters most β€” here's your assignment for the weekend.

Write down the project name. Then write down the date you'd be embarrassed to still be thinking about it.

Subtract those two. That's the number of months you've been carrying the weight of "someday."

If that number scares you β€” and I mean really scares you, the kind of scared that makes you want to close this email and go for a walk

Comment RESTART. Or hit reply with the project name. The two founding spots are still open.

Have a good weekend.

P.S.

Three words this week. From three strangers. That's the smallest possible signal and the most important one. If you're reading this and you felt something when you read the word RESTART β€” that's your signal too.
